The project prioritised flexibility and collaborative spaces, featuring high-specification areas dedicated to research, business and technology. The building's simple, elegant design followed the curve of the campus edge, creating a new façade both internally and externally. A substantial new public realm has integrated the building with the city park, fostering a unique sense of place around the existing structures.
An innovative new facility offering high quality, flexible space
Broadway Malyan was appointed to design a new building for the University of Nottingham Ningbo, China (UNNC). The Li Dak Sum Incubator is located on the campus's key urban edge and city wetland park. It sets a new benchmark for infrastructure of this type in China and provides a valuable asset to the campus.
