‘The Boutiq’, a luxury 39,972 sqft residential apartment-led scheme in the heart of Singapore, designed by global architecture, urbanism and design practice Broadway Malyan, has opened to residents.
The scheme features two 10-storey blocks and provides 130 one to two-bedroom apartment units and one to three-bedroom penthouses ranging from 506 sq ft to 2,853 sq ft, with all units including luxury fixtures and fittings by renowned brands.
It offers residents a complex of unique communal ‘sky gardens’, each serving a different function and offering different recreational facilities, including a swimming pool, a fitness suite and a bar, with the development set in tranquil, landscaped grounds.
The practice’s design has delivered contemporary and functional spaces, and communal and social areas, with a range of amenities for ease of convenience and the privacy of a domestic residence – plus a distinctive façade playfully inspired by an Irish Tartan pattern.
It balances the demand for luxury lifestyle and urban living with that of a sustainable development. The south-facing orientation and use of large windows, plus the passive design approach and use of natural ventilation, result in a light and airy environment throughout the day.
Sky gardens punctuate every floor and provide a multi-level forum for residents to relax, play and interact, while also affording spectacular views across Singapore.
The practice provided architectural and landscape design services to its client, a consortium comprising Heeton Holdings, KSH Holdings and TEE International, resulting in a strong synergy between the architecture and landscape, from ground level up to the sky gardens.
Singapore-based Director Ian Simpson said: “Our expert design team has partnered with the client to deliver an exquisite residential development that offers residents a restful sanctuary from the bustle of the city. The scheme is a strong addition to our global portfolio of market-leading residential projects.”
Broadway Malyan was recently appointed by Megaworld, the leading residential condominium and office developer-landlord in the Philippines, to design luxury estates on the ultra-high-end $1bn McKinley West township in Manila.
The practice is also the designer of Trump Tower Manila, which is set to be the tallest residential skyscraper in the Philippines and Manila’s definitive landmark when completed in 2016, as well as the Milano Residences, an upmarket residential project featuring a 53-storey tower which will complete in 2015.
Distinguished by its global reach with 16 studios across world centres, unrivalled diversity with 500+ design experts and distinctive client focus with over 75% income from repeat business, Broadway Malyan creates world-class and fully-integrated cities, places and buildings to unlock lasting value.
