18th September 2026

The appointment strengthens the practice’s creative leadership in India as the Mumbai team builds on 14 years of work across the country’s evolving cities.

Broadway Malyan has appointed Neha Momaya as Studio Lead in Mumbai, strengthening the creative leadership of its India practice and supporting the next phase of its growth.

Neha has developed her career with Broadway Malyan over the past 14 years, contributing to some of the practice’s most significant work in India and her experience spans projects of different scales and sectors, with particular expertise in workplace, residential and mixed-use design.

She brings a detailed understanding of India’s cities and development market and her long-standing relationships across its design and property sectors has been critical in Broadway Malyan’s growth in India, which now extends across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Goa and Pune.

Neha’s approach has been shaped by the complexity and pace of India’s urban growth, as well as by her early career experience in New York. She studied Urban Design at Pratt Institute before working with a boutique architecture practice in Manhattan, developing an interest in the relationships between architecture, urbanism and placemaking.

“India is at an extraordinary stage in its urban evolution,” said Neha. “The way we live, work and experience cities is changing rapidly, and the relationship between workplace, residential and mixed-use environments is becoming increasingly interconnected. “The strongest design comes from understanding a place. For me, local depth and global reach are inseparable. I want us to deepen our partnerships in India and create work that is distinctly rooted in its context, while drawing confidently on ideas and experience from around the world.”

Ian Apsley, Chief Executive of Broadway Malyan added:

“Neha’s appointment reflects something fundamental to how we want to grow Broadway Malyan: developing leadership from within and in the places where we practise.

Over more than a decade, she has built deep client relationships, developed an exceptional understanding of the Indian market and helped shape the culture and design ambition of our team. She combines that local insight with an international outlook, making her exceptionally well placed to lead the next chapter of our India practice.
