The masterplan faced and resolved a number of significant challenges related to transport, community facilities and public realm.

The proposal allows for different parts of the island to develop their own sense of identity and promotes a vibrant mixed-use community with a pedestrian friendly streetscape.

An extensive network of pedestrian links permeates the development promoting walkability. This is serviced by an integrated transit system featuring the latest tram, water and guided bus systems.
