Associate Architect
Mumbai
As an Associate, you will be a key leader in our practice—shaping both projects and people. You will play a hands-on role in:
- Leading medium to large-scale design projects, guiding them from strategy through to delivery
- Creating design clarity across complex briefs and collaborating with clients to drive high-impact outcomes
- Building and nurturing client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and helping win work
- Mentoring and developing talent within the studio—coaching others, sharing knowledge, and helping grow future leaders
- Contributing to the commercial performance of our projects and studio, ensuring design and business goals are aligned
- Role-modelling design leadership, championing sustainable, inclusive and innovative design approaches
Qualifications
You are an experienced and confident design professional with 10+ years in landscape architecture, urban design or planning—someone who can lead large-scale projects and bring people together around a shared vision.
You’ll stand out for your ability to:
- Translate design ideas into outcomes with impact
- Guide projects across design quality, budget, timeline and delivery
- Lead and mentor teams in a collaborative, inclusive way
- Balance creative thinking with commercial outcomes
- Communicate effectively with clients and partners -ideally in both English and Mandarin (preferred, not essential)
- Work confidently across design tools such as Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and others
- Bachelor's Degree, or higher qualification, in Architecture.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring design excellence and innovation.
- Develop and present compelling design concepts, material palettes, and spatial strategies.
- Oversee/participate in documentation, ensuring high-quality detailing and technical accuracy.
- Manage client relationships, acting as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to coordinate design intent and project delivery.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering their professional growth.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, materials, and sustainable design practices to inform innovative solutions.
