Broadway Malyan has been an Employee-Owned Trust since 2016, a unique model among large, globally operating architecture practices. As such, our ethos and operations are shaped by our people, for our people, with participatory governance embedded in the organisation’s management structure, rather than dependent on individuals.
Our values reflect the diversity of our workforce, supported by data that demonstrates our commitment to an inclusive and global team. In the UK, our gender split is 51.4% male and 48.6% female. Our team is also internationally diverse, comprising 62% British nationals and 38% from a wide range of countries.

As a borderless design practice, we actively promote cultural exchange. Our company exchange programme allows employees to apply for temporary placements in other studios, providing opportunities to experience different working cultures and project types. We currently have colleagues on temporary placements across a range of studios, including Singapore, Abu Dhabi and London.
In 2024, we launched Borderless + – a series of events designed to foster a more exploratory design culture while supporting the development of colleagues across the global practice. The first event was held at our Mumbai studio in October 2024 and brought together a diverse group of designers, architects, masterplanners, senior leaders and emerging talent from across the practice.

We remain dedicated to fostering a workplace where every individual feels valued, supported and empowered to thrive. Being recognised once again for this commitment is a true honour and reinforces our ongoing mission to cultivate an inclusive, collaborative and inspiring environment for all our people.
