Beorma Tower Celebrates Topping Out Ceremony
19th May 2025

A significant milestone has been reached in the transformation of Birmingham’s city skyline, as Beorma Tower marked its official Topping Out ceremony on the 7 May 2025.

Beorma Tower is a landmark mixed-use development prominently situated between the Bullring and Digbeth regeneration zone in Birmingham. This 29-storey building will feature ground-floor retail, 152,000 sqft of Grade A office space and 124 residential apartments, each with a private winter garden offering spectacular views across the city.

Beorma Quarter, named in honour of Birmingham’s Anglo-Saxon founder, is a multi-phase development occupying a key site at the junction of Park Street and Digbeth. The newly topped-out tower will stand as a prominent addition to the city’s skyline, visually striking and purpose-built for a new generation of city dwellers and businesses.

Located adjacent to the iconic St Martin’s Church and moments from the Bullring, Beorma Quarter is a flagship regeneration scheme breathing new life into this historic area of Birmingham. Once completed, the development will deliver a dynamic mix of premium office space, contemporary apartments, and high-quality recreation amenities.

“This Topping Out represents much more than the completion of the building's frame – it is a celebration of vision, collaboration, and progress,” said a spokesperson for the Developer, Salhia

The primary façades of the buildings are clad in aluminium panels and glass with Angolan black granite with a water jet finish. This contemporary treatment complements Birmingham's modern identity, while the stone piers reference the historic burgage walls that once subdivided the plots on this site. Together with the tower, they frame the iconic Selfridges building, creating a distinct architectural dialogue. For the tower’s upper residential floors, the façade transitions to glass, giving each use a clear identity and establishing a contemporary landmark on Birmingham’s evolving skyline.
