Broadway Malyan joins forces with Blore Design
17th September 2018

Broadway Malyan has announced a new consultancy partnership with Simon Blore of Blore Design to build on its expertise in the global retail and mixed use sectors

Simon was previously based in Hong Kong where he was Global Managing Director of Benoy before co-founding Lead8, which he left to establish Blore Design in 2018.

Simon has almost three decades of designing and delivering major international projects with a specific expertise in mixed- use, transport orientated developments and urban frameworks.

He said: “Increasingly our cities and towns are becoming mixed use, more dense, more diverse, more reliant on public transit but at the same time there is a need for each place to be authentic, and to celebrate its own uniqueness.

“Much of our collaboration will be founded upon these principles and having met and explored the potential of our collaboration with the senior team at Broadway Malyan, I have no doubt that we have a shared culture and vision of how we see mixed use design.

“From my time in UK and also in Asia, I have watched as Broadway Malyan has grown its global presence and so I am excited to now be helping them in their next phase of growth, as we work together to shape the environments of the future.”

He also brings a very strong entrepreneurial background that very much fits with the Broadway Malyan ethos and we look forward to developing some fantastic new work together.”

Over the past two decades Simon has been involved in a range of transformational projects such as the Harbourloop project in Hong Kong, a not for profit initiative aimed at creating an open-space framework along 23km of warterfront, developing a masterplan and conceptual building layouts for Changde New District in China and providing design support for the successful Changi Airport T5 bid team, led by Heatherwick Studio.

Jeremy Salmon is a Board Director of Broadway Malyan, leading a growing UK based team looking at global retail opportunities.
