The Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre is one of the world’s most technically advanced postal automation facilities, handling all of the UK’s incoming and outgoing mail. At peak capacity the centre will process approximately 480,000 items of mail per hour using state of the art automation equipment and production control software. The 50,000m² facility has a site area of 9.5 hectares.

Broadway Malyan was appointed to provide architectural, planning and lead consultancy services from feasibility through to completion. This included involvement in the procurement and coordination of one of the largest and most sophisticated mail processing systems of its kind.
