Following a major design competition, Broadway Malyan was appointed to prepare a masterplan for the phased redevelopment of BP’s research site atSunbury as a new technology park.

The masterplan features a central open space with a water feature creating a high quality, campus style setting for the new buildings. As part of the proposals the busy Chertsey Road, which dissects the site, has been traffic calmed and transformed into a tree-lined boulevard.

Contemporary hard landscape finishes and bold planting, using a simple palette of low ground cover with avenues of semi-mature trees, and interior landscaping combine with the hi-tech buildings to create a sustainable, state of the art development
