2021 completion date set for Brentford residential scheme
29th January 2020

A major regeneration scheme in west London featuring a landmark residential development designed by Broadway Malyan has now entered into the construction phase, which is set to complete in 2021.

Since achieving planning consent at the turn of 2018, the technical design of the project has now been finished and construction is well under way.

While the construction phase is scheduled for completion in April 2021, Brentford Community stadium, which is situated in the centre of the project masterplan, will be opening later this year.

Broadway Malyan has worked alongside EcoWorld to design a new residential quarter in the area consisting of 487 total residential units, with a view to revitalise the surrounding community and drive interest in the new stadium development.

The stadium is being built on a 31,000 m2 site bordered by a triangle of key railway lines, which includes Kew Bridge railway station.

Connections from the stadium are set to be complete after it opens for public use, so temporary links will be provided to allow the flow of pedestrian movement in and out of the stadium and its surrounding areas in the interim.

“We are delighted with the progress of this scheme," said Laura Cassullo, Director at Broadway Malyan.

"We are particularly excited to see how our development and the wider regeneration initiative will serve to bring out the vibrancy of Brentford's surrounding community and breathe new life into the area."
