Located in the heart of Frankfurt, Skyline Plaza is a two-storey, 38,000m2 GLA shopping centre. Broadway Malyan was appointed by ECE, the European market leader in the shopping centre sector, to create the interior concept design.
The concept is based on a journey through the urban environment to a park, with the forms and finishes reflecting these themes. Pods, acting as bridges, form interventions along the mall and have images of Frankfurt projected onto them.
The food court, which is located at the heart of the shopping centre, is visualised as a park, a place for people to meet, eat and rest. Sculptures representing trees offer places for people to gather under while elevated seating pods in the form of nests, offer places to people watch.
