Broadway Malyan is retained by E.ON Climate and Renewables to advise on planning, stakeholder management and strategic design issues in relation to their developing portfolio of biomass fuelled renewable energy products. We are currently advising on projects at Sheffield, East Midlands and Bristol.
At Sheffield Broadway Malyan has been steering the application through the planning process and is now managing the discharge of conditions attached to the approval. Key tasks have included:
- Negotiating the S.106 agreement
- Brokering the establishment of a community fund
- Negotiating with the City Council and Yorkshire Forward on the potential for CHP
- Undertaking public consultation as part of preparing a Statement of Community Involvement
- Undertaking a sequential test in support of a Flood Risk Assessment
