Forum Coimbra, a multi-award winning retail centre, is located on the site of a former textile factory, commanding magnificent hilltop views over the River Mondego, the city of Coimbra and beyond. The 48,000m² GLA centre provides 146 retail units including a 18,000m² hypermarket, plus a six-screen multiplex cinema, leisure facilities and a large food court.
Cut into the hillside, the development uses a variety of forms, changing massing and feature towers to create a striking skyline facing the city, appearing to rise up through and above the existing landscape. The modern and functional development is designed around three spacious plazas. Natural elements set the theme for the design and décor of these plazas.
