Ancora Istanbul Shopping Centre is located on the Asian side of Istanbul and is a site-specific intervention that will at as a catalyst for the future civic regeneration of the Göztepe and Kadiköy district of Istanbul.
The design reinforces the scheme's remarkable hilltop location adjacent to on of the city's main motorways and demarcates an important urban gateway to the Göztepe quarter. The vibrant interiors concept employs different themes and features which will create a highly unique retail experience while the state-of-the-art mixed use 25-storey tower will act as a distinctive visual link between the European and Asian sides and will attract people from all over the city. The centre provides a GLA of 120,000m² distributed over 4 floors of retail, including a 13,500m² hypermarket, 5,500m² DIY plus multiplex cinemas including an IMAX, leisure facilities and a large food court, plus 3 basement car park levels accommodating 4,500 cars.
