East Side Plaza forms the final piece of the jigsaw that is Gunwharf Quays. Predominantly a private residential development providing 306 residential units, it comprises three blocks which each respond to a different urban aspect and so are architecturally distinct.
The tower has been designed with continuous consultation from CABE, English Heritage and the City Planners. It is intended as a visual landmark in the city of Portsmouth and will complement the Spinnaker tower. The tower is a beautiful object in its own right, drawing on maritime themes such as sails and ocean liner architecture.
