Broadway Malyan was commissioned to undertake the resort masterplanning for this 500,000m² site in Kunming and initial Concept Design for the key buildings forming the resort characterisation.
The Wetland Resort will feature a championship level golf course and golf villas, plus high-end low density residential provision. Guided by the principles of ecologically sustainable design, the scheme blends seamlessly into its exceptional natural environment retaining the wetland environment as the resort asset. Great sensitivity and care has been placed on ensuring that each private residence has its own physical access to water and visual privacy yet still maintaining the development density objective.
The project included the design of a 50,000m² 5 star resort hotel which will act as the central focal point of the new resort community and a new meeting place both for residents and guests alike providing relaxation through connectivity to the surrounding natural landscape.
