Tavy Bridge Regeneration
background and brief
Broadway Malyan was commissioned by Gallions Housing Association and Wates in 2004 to prepare a masterplan and development framework for the Tavy Bridge estate in Thamesmead, London.
After demolition of most of the estate, with the exception of two tower blocks which will be refurbished, the masterplan was granted outline planning permission in June 2005 for 925 new homes.
Tavy Bridge Regeneration
design response
Through a series of workshops, local residents have been closely involved both with the preparation of the development framework and the masterplan. They will also be closely involved in the detailed design of the implementation phases, by working through design palettes for specific parts of the masterplan.
The Tavy Bridge regeneration scheme is a key ODPM funded Thames Gateway project.
