Forum Algarve is a 45,000m² regional shopping centre designed by Broadway Malyan for Multi Development (formerly AM Development). The development in Faro is the first regional shopping centre on the Algarve, Portugal.
The scheme won an ICSC Commendation for 'Best New Large Centre' in 2002.

design response
Inspired by the historic square in Faro, the architecture re-creates a walled village environment with the whole of the shopping centre developed around a central plaza. Individual buildings are unique in their size, height and colour, designed to represent an organic growth. Traditional local decorative elements have been incorporated into the scheme.
