A passionate architect and experienced executive, Peter Crossley joined Broadway Malyan in 1982, fresh from completing his architecture degree at the University of Manchester. From junior architect, Peter worked his way up to the position of Managing Director in 1999, a position he held successfully for over 10 years until stepping down for family reasons. Since returning to the role of hands-on, full-time design professional Peter has devoted himself fully to his first love: architecture and the design of the built environment.
Throughout his career, Peter has always maintained a hands-on role in design, project leadership and client management – all while overseeing Broadway Malyan’s high design standards and driving the firm’s strategic delivery of major projects.
As an architect, Peter’s expertise is in the design and delivery of large-scale, residential-led, mixed-use regeneration projects such as Battersea Reach and Beaufort Park. In 2009 he received the acclaimed British Home Awards’ “Architect of the Year” award on behalf of Broadway Malyan.
Most recently, Peter has overseen the design of the 51-storey Tower at No 1 St George Wharf – the UK’s tallest residential development – and Imperial Wharf, both in central London. He is passionate about sustainable and socially enriching regeneration - fighting through the economic and political hurdles that slow the process or obstruct delivery. He has spoken on Urban Regeneration at conferences and seminars in the UK and Europe.
