Director of Masterplanning
Erik is the senior policy led masterplanner based in the Weybridge office and takes a lead in urban extensions, design and access statements and urban design studies for a variety of complex sites throughout the United Kingdom. With qualifications in economics, planning and urban design, he brings a multi-faceted approach to the masterplanning of new settlements of up to 10,000 units.
Originally from Vancouver in Canada, Erik has worked in the UK for the last 10 years and has a deep appreciation for UK towns and cities, having developed a methodology for designing in historic settlements like Dartmouth, East Grinstead, and Stirling. Understanding place is critical in this approach, as is an integrated working relationship with the planning and architecture teams to ensure that masterplans meet both client and community aspirations.
