Director of Architecture
Since joining Broadway Malyan in 1999 as Director of Healthcare Design, Doug has been instrumental in developing the healthcare portfolio with a more holistic design approach. This includes a wide range of PFI, Procure 21 and LIFT projects from primary care centres to tertiary hospital masterplanning. Quality and environmentally responsive buildings are his key interests and several innovative schemes under his direction have received design awards, most recently in the specialties of cancer care and mental health.
He is an active member of Architects for Health, and has carried out independent AEDET Evolution design reviews for NHS Trusts.
