The Mall, Luton receives planning permission

Broadway Malyan's £15m scheme to extend The Mall, Luton has received detailed planning permission.

The development of the St George's Square end of the existing retail centre will create over 6,822 sq.m. of new retail space and around 200 additional car parking spaces. The proposal involves the development of a six-storey extension to The Mall Luton, incorporating shops, cafes and three levels of secure car parking. The scheme will create eight new retail units that are expected to be open for trading by Christmas 2008.

This is the first phase of a much larger masterplanning exercise, currently being undertaken by Broadway Malyan.
