Forum Coimbra wins prestigious MAPIC Award

Broadway Malyan's Forum Coimbra scheme has won 'Best Shopping Centre' at the 2007 MAPIC Awards beating off tough competition from 20 other projects from across the world.

The scheme for Multi Development comprises 48,000sq.m. GLA of shops, restaurants, leisure and cultural facilities that have brought new life to the left bank of the River Mondego in Coimbra. Situated on the Planalto de Santa Clara, the scheme commands magnificent views of the city.

The shopping centre is designed around three spacious plazas set in a triangle and connected by malls. Each of these plazas has a different geometry - circular, square and rectangular, and each are designed with individual themes based on three natural elements - fire, earth and water.
