Forum Coimbra wins ICSC Award

Broadway Malyan's Forum Coimbra scheme has won 'Best Large Shopping Centre' at the 2007 ICSC Awards.

The scheme for Multi Development comprises 48,000 sq.m. GLA of shops, restaurants, leisure and cultural facilities that have brought new life to the left bank of the River Mondego in Coimbra, Portugal.

Stephen Pragnell, Chair of the ICSC Awards Jury, commented:

"Forum Coimbra fully merited the 2007 ICSC European Award as Best Large Centre, not only for its commercial attraction, but also for the striking contemporary architecture, efficient retail layout and stunning interior decoration accompanied by innovative exterior lighting that make it a new monument for Portugal's third city".
