Broadway Malyan appointed to masterplan 1,640 hectare resort in Cape Verde

Broadway Malyan has been appointed by Casa Group to masterplan a 1,640 ha resort on the Cape Verde island of Santiago. Following a two-way competition, the appointment marks the first stage in the development of the £2.39 billion project which will take 10-15 years to complete.

James Rayner, Director of Masterplanning, Broadway Malyan, said:

"The sheer scale of this project means the proposal represents a significant investment in the island and for Cape Verde as a whole. A major objective of the masterplan is to ensure that the project delivers not only a sensitive and beautiful resort but also a project that gives back to the local community and environment."
