Bhartiya City is the largest urban development in any Indian metropolitan area. Spanning 50 hectares, it will provide a fully-integrated mix of residential, retail, hospitality and Special Economic Zone uses, as well school, healthcare and sports facilities, making it the first development of its kind in India. The City is designed to be highly sustainable, with residents living in close proximity to workplaces. The entire city will be accessible by foot or bicycle and feature links to major road networks as well as a potential future rail connection.
Broadway Malyan was appointed to support the client chairman’s vision for an improved quality of life for residents in India with the delivery of an open, accessible and inspirational city development. Phase one comprises some 2,400 residential units as well as extensive gardens and community facilities. The development consists of 10 interconnected towers ranging from 22 to 30 stories in height. A series of low-rise residential buildings link the taller towers and offer communal public roof gardens for social interaction. These also replenish the loss of green space.
