Jeremy is a passionate design professional with more than 20 years architectural experience at Broadway Malyan. Starting his career in London, he was responsible for the Madrid studio for a number of years before relocating to China to manage the new Shanghai office in 2007. Jeremy was appointed to the main board in 2006 and in 2016, invited to join the Executive Committee.
During his career Jeremy has worked across the globe on a great variety of project types and scales. He has a particular expertise in retail and mixed-use and led work on the Lefo Mall and SunArt Plaza, both in China. He has also worked on major masterplanning and landscaping projects such as Nanjing New Town, China and Las Cuatro Torres – Madrid’s new financial district.
Whether commercial in nature or otherwise, Jeremy’s starting point and preoccupation is always the end user. He has an overriding interest in people-focussed place making, and sees the role of the architect as the facilitator for the creation of authentic and exciting user experiences.
Experienced in design-leadership, Jeremy knows how to balance all the diverse ambitions inherent in any project. He looks for unseen potential to bring something new and special every project on which he works.
