Stuart started working for Broadway Malyan in 1985 whilst studying architecture at Manchester Polytechnic. After working in Weybridge and London, he is now based in the Lisbon office. He is a member of the international design team and has particular expertise in the retail sector. He is a member of the BCSC and ICSC.

He was invited to join the Board in 1999, and formed the Madrid office the following year.

As well as delivering all types of retail projects throughout Europe and lately North Africa, Stuart also has a keen interest in workplace design and has been responsible for prestigious new headquarters buildings for BASF, Sony and Roche.
