Martin graduated with a first class degree in International Architecture, subsequently gaining his masters which included study tours with UNESCO for World Heritage Sites in North Africa and work with the office of architecture at Stanford University, California.

Martin founded Broadway Malyan's Edinburgh office in 2003. Since it's inception the practice has delivered the award winning Greenside Place bridge link, located in the World Heritage site in Edinburgh's New Town. Martin is also responsible for delivering the vision for Edinburgh's Princes Street Regeneration Project, a masterplan addressing Edinburgh's premier shopping street.
