Won through an international competition, Bandar Malaysia is a mixed-use development centrally located at the terminus of the proposed Singapore to Kuala Lumpur high-speed railway. It will act as an economic catalyst, helping transform Kuala Lumpur into one of the world’s most exciting and liveable global cities.
The 196-hectare project has been designed to become a new destination within Kuala Lumpur – a vibrant cultural and entertainment district which combines a mixed-use community, a commercial district and arts and cultural precinct.
The arts and cultural precinct will showcase Malaysia’s diverse culture, while the mixed-use working district is designed to create opportunities in the emerging industries, with housing within a short walking distance of office space.
The new working communities will support entrepreneurs and SMEs creating world-class opportunities for education with a direct link to industry and becoming a catalyst for ideas and innovation.
The scheme also sets the benchmark for sustainable and affordable urban housing in Malaysia. Bandar Malaysia will deliver over 27,000 new homes, in line with the client’s vision to provide quality, affordable housing for all.
